The Cottage
Cordwainer Cottage was originally a workshop for shoemakers who lived and worked at Stoney Villa Farm, as recorded in the 1851 Census Returns.
The stone building has been sympathetically converted into what is now a cosy and welcoming self-catering cottage. The Cottage is about 20 yards from the main house and has its own lawned garden, with a picnic table and views over the countryside. Plenty of car parking space is available.

Walkers will enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside from the elevated position of the farm - there are extensive public footpaths. A nearby attraction is Jackson's Nurseries with its tea room, garden centre and farm shop. Within a short drive, there is a golf course, a reservoir used for sailing, tennis and cricket clubs. Two leisure centres nearby offer swimming, squash and badminton amongst other sports. Details can be found at Visit Stoke.
There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs nearby should visitors not wish to spend too much time in the kitchen. A list is provided in the Cottage.
Please note that we have a no smoking and a no pets policy.
