Access

The cottage is on one level with just one step to negotiate, approximately 10" (25cm) in height. The external door is 36" (91cm) wide and leads onto a tiled area. All internal doors are of standard width 33" (84cm) with levered handles.

The lounge/dining room has fitted carpet, TV with Teletext and subtitles, a large leather settee and an upright armchair available for persons with back problems. The dining area is situated near to the kitchen.

The kitchen, though small, has every amenity - fridge with freezer compartment, a full-sized electric cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, utensils and crockery.

Adjoining the bedroom is the shower room with pedestal basin, toilet and shower cubicle. The square shower tray has a step to negotiate approx 11" (28cm) in height. The floor covering is non-slip.

The compact bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and large mirror over an amenity shelf. There are two windows - one overlooking the garden. The other is for use as a fire escape and has obscured glass. NB: the height of the window sill from the bedroom floor is 19" (48cm) and the fire escape window is 32" (81cm) square. Although the bedroom is on the ground floor it is not recommended for anyone needing to use a walking frame.

Heating is by electric night storage radiators throughout.

Parking is close to the cottage on a level area.
